Inlay and Onlays

Like fillings, inlays and onlays restore areas of a tooth that are damaged by decay or trauma. While fillings are composed of a soft resin or plastic composite that is molded into place and then hardened during the dental visit, inlays and onlays are crafted in the dental lab from hard ceramic material and permanently cemented to the tooth during a follow-up visit.
