Holistic
Dental Care

Our practice uses the latest technology to provide our patients optimal comfort and quality care. We have incorporated digital x-rays, computerized tomography (CT) scanning systems, and intraoral cameras into our standard practices. With these instruments, our doctors are able to more easily detect issues and provide early diagnosis for more effective treatment.

Philosophies of Holistic Dentists

Holistic dentistry is an alternative approach to dentistry that believes your oral health is absolutely interconnected to your overall health. It focuses on using biocompatible (non-toxic) restorative materials, eliminating infections, and promoting optimal teeth/jaw/head/neck structural relationships. Because no dentist can “do it all,” they will often work with a wide variety of healthcare professionals to promote integrated, complementary care. The focus of a proper Holistic Dentist is to identify areas of oral disease and structural dysfunction that may be negatively impacting the health and well-being of the patient. As a rule, they will then use the least invasive, least traumatic, and least toxic means of diagnosis and treatment. Genuine holistic care supports the body’s natural abilities of self-healing and regeneration.

Below is the order of philosophies of Holistic Dentists from most to least common:

  • Not Using Amalgam/Mercury Fillings
  • Knowing and Practicing Proper Mercury Removal
  • Consideration of Heavy Metal issues (Electrical/Toxic)
  • Multi-disciplinary (Integrated) Healthcare
  • Nutritional/Preventative Therapies
  • Orthodontics/Invisalign
  • Cavitations
  • Treatment/Diagnosis of Restricted Breathing

It is increasingly popular for dentists to call themselves holistic, mercury-free, biological, or biological dentists simply because they no longer use mercury/silver fillings. Make sure any dentist you are considering has received advanced training in the proper handling of mercury/silver fillings that are already in your mouth – as prescribed by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT-www.iaomt.org). According to the IAOMT, Mercury /Amalgam / Silver Fillings removal without following these guidelines may be hazardous to your health as well as the health of the dental practice team. Here at GreenEwe Dental, our team follows all the guidelines.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns can help restore a tooth that has been broken or severely damaged by tooth decay. Made from lifelike materials, your crown will be designed to blend with the natural appearance of your smile. It can also be used to cap a tooth repaired by root canal therapy.

Dental Bridges

If you are missing multiple adjacent teeth, a customized restoration can be designed to help fill in the gap left behind. A dental bridge is made from strong, durable materials and consists of three or more crowns fused together and is designed to attach to your remaining teeth for support. In some cases, you can also receive an implant-supported bridge or crown for superior strength and stability.

Restorative
Dentistry

To improve oral structure and functionality, Dr. Yani offers a comprehensive range of restorative dentistry services at our Fort Lauderdale, FL, office. At Holistic & Healing Dentistry, we use advanced technology to comfortably perform restorative treatments for teeth that have been damaged by tooth decay, trauma, or disease.

Dental Implants

If you are looking for a permanent solution to replacing missing teeth, dental implants can be surgically inserted into your jawbone. These small titanium posts will act as a tooth root and can hold a custom dental crown, bridge, or denture to restore your smile and dental function. We provide all phases of dental implants treatment in our office, including preparatory procedures such as bone grafting and sinus lifts.
